Ribbon & Lace

We've just had a delivery of some new ribbons, cotton lace, bias & piped bias.  Roll on Easter, so we can use the Bunny ribbon!

A True Basic

This lovely milky coffee, polyester & spandex jersey is a true basic. Perfect for draping, lining sheer fabrics, lingerie...

It's uses are endless! At 152 cm wide & £8 per m, you get a lot for your money!

The fabric with no name...!

This fabulous new fabric came through the door today, but I have no idea what to call it!!  It's a black thick knit, but not a sweatshirting. It has a great waffle pattern and a bit of stretch.  It's made up of 82% Polyester, 16% Rayon & 2% Spandex (my favorite word!), 140 cm wide and £20 per m.

Most people would say great for jackets, but I'm thinking shift dress, skirt...!

Sewing Machines!!

A lovely parcel has arrived - two shiny new Janome machines for workshops & classes!!  Just going to have a little test drive....!

Home Sewing

Well, I finally got round to using the buttonhole foot on my Bernina!  Definitely worth the wait, even if it is just an alteration!  At least I can wear my pinafore, without the risk of it falling down!  

Hmmm, now what else needs a buttonhole....?!

Japanese Fabrics Arrive!

Yippee, another delivery from Japan!  Definitely worth waiting for.

My favorite designer Naomi Ito, has come up with more gorgeous prints on cotton, jersey & double gauze.

Come and see them in the New Year, if I haven't used them all!!!
