We've had another delivery from one of our French suppliers!

Someone's been busy!

One of our lovely customers has really got her sew on!!!

I can't decide which one I like best, cos our fabrics look so gorgeous!!

Actually, I think it's the shirt, as I know how silky smooth, that Art Gallery Fabrics cotton feels!

Someone's been busy!

Our floral viscose jersey has only been in the shop for a week & one busy person is already wearing it!! Looks fantastic too.

Lots of New Fabric..!

Well, we've had a few fabric deliveries this week.  Quite a variety of weights - spotty tulle to stretch gaberdine!  Some viscose jerseys, plain & printed, stretch statins, needlecord & cotton gingham!  Not forgetting my new favourite, Toucan cotton stretch jersey!!

More Hudson Pant love!

I've recruited another convert to the Hudson Pant from:

Not only are they sooo comfy, the instructions are really clear & they give a professional finish.  Also for a stretch fabric newbie, our super wide jersey is easy to sew & doesn't fray, so no edge finishing needed!

New Cosy Loungewear!

I've started on the new Jersey fabric already!!

My favourite comfy bottoms - Hudson Pants from www.truebias.com

I haven't worn out the last pair I made, but now I have one pair to wear, whilst the other is in the wash :)

As this fabric is a whopping 175cms wide, you only need just over a metre (my legs are quite long!) so £9.50's worth.

It sews so easily, seams press nicely & washes brilliantly. We've got 3 marl shades in at the mo, blue, green or brown.  A great jersey to start sewing knit/stretch fabrics ;)

When you've just unpacked one delivery, the shop is busy & another arrives!!

Certainly don't get bored here ;)

So, my favourite cosy jersey (new pair of Hudson Pants for me :)) came in 3 colours! We have some new cotton & viscose prints, stretch plain & print cottons & a fabulous drapey polyester print!! 

Hmmm, I think there's some more on the way too...!

Fresh Delivery of Fabrics!!!

Lovely new fabrics just in!! 

Cotton jersey stripes (£14.50) & flower print (£12). 

Along with woven cotton prints in flowers & spots (£9)

All the cotton prints are 150 cms wide and the cotton jerseys, a wonderful 160 cms wide!! 😍

Lindy Petal Skirt

I came across this lovely simple skirt pattern, online the other day. It has the added bonus of being a free downloadable PDF!

I thought I'd try it in a stable knit with just horizontal stretch & it works a treat!  The fabric, a quite firm Ponte Roma, is so easy to sew, I'm looking to see what else I can make with it! At 150cms wide & £8 per m, an inexpensive way to add some pieces to the wardrobe!!

Tis the season to have fabric delivered!

Another interesting mix has arrived in the shop! India inspired cotton prints, a Missoni influenced viscose, cutout jersey & a soft metallic pleat.  I just can't decide what fabric to start on first...!

Hopefully, they should all be up on the website very soon. (Will get the photographer on the case tomorrow!)

More & More Fabric!

When these cotton jersey fabrics arrived today, I'd completely forgotten I'd ordered them! It was a few weeks ago, at a show in London, but I still love them!  They are so soft and are perfect to mix & match. 150 cms wide and £12 per m.  I'd just found homes for them, when these 12 rolls arrived!

This is a mixture of chiffons, Ponte Roma, woollens, lawn, wool blends, viscose & ripstop! Prices range from £5 to £15 per m and they're all 150 cms wide.

There's still more on the way...!

More Lounge Wear!

My wardrobe is having some comfy additions!  Last time, it was the cosy Linden Sweatshirt, from Grainline Studios & this week, the Hudson Pants from True Bias patterns. 

I love the low, wide waist, nicely edged pockets & a slim fit lower leg, the rest is pure comfort!

These are made up in our amazingly wide, grey marl jersey - 175 cms wide!!!  Which is great, as they only took a metre (£9.50) & left enough for a scarf ;)

New Jersey

A little taste of the new Jersey fabric, ordered this week.  This is what happens when a rep leaves you a sample piece to play with!!!

A True Basic

This lovely milky coffee, polyester & spandex jersey is a true basic. Perfect for draping, lining sheer fabrics, lingerie...

It's uses are endless! At 152 cm wide & £8 per m, you get a lot for your money!
