We've had another delivery from one of our French suppliers!

More Autumn deliveries!

We've had some more deliveries and as usual, it's an eclectic mix!! 

This is the problem with being a smallish shop, trying to keep a wide variety of fabrics, without a huge amount of storage space.  But we keep squeezing in a bit more ;)

There's been a lot of haberdashery arriving too, more useful things like Fray Check, Wonder Tape and coloured zips for little bags!

Cosy Arrivals!

We've had some cosy fabrics arrive and it's very tempting, to just wrap yourself up in them and take a nap!

This Lambs Fleece in ecru and fawn, is so snuggly, 150 cms wide and £8.50 per m.

Perfect for lining jackets, backing blankets, making cuddly toys...!

Our lovely soft fleeces have started to arrive, airforce blue, petrol, red and brown.

Great for making fleece tops, jackets, linings, hats, mitts, blankets...!

Again, 150cm wide and £8.00 per m

Yet more fabrics...!

Our new Spanish supplier is very efficient, a couple of weeks from seeing their samples and they're here in the shop!  140/150 cm wide cotton prints and plains, between £10 & £13's per m!
The tiny blue/brown town & co-ordinating leaf prints are a particular favourite of mine!

Lots of New Fabrics!!!

Well, it never rains but it pours...!

In a fortnight, we've had Autumn fabrics come early and Asian fabrics come late.

Our first delivery was some Autumn fabrics, which are proving popular already.   Two colour ways, in a floral and stitched polyester knit, which is a great dress/skirt/jacket weight.  It's soft, but firm and in soft pink greys or bright colours.  95% polyester, 5% spandex, 155 cms wide and £14.00 per m.

The metallic fabrics are actually knits, made from 97% polyester, 3% spandex.  They are very soft and drapey, unlike their hard metallic appearence. Again 150 cms wide & £12.00 per m.

We then had a box arrive from Asia, containing our Japanese and Indonesian fabrics - double layer!

The Japanese fabrics are cotton prints, including ripple prints, which are a bit like firm seersucker (pineapples and hibiscus prints) and a linen mix.

The second layer was our Batiks from Bali which were delayed in production, due to weather in Indonesia.  When you see the hand production, in these beautiful fabrics, you can see why they are very weather reliant.

But it was definitely worth the wait!!!  The designs and colours are stunning! Here's a few of them...

Floral heaven...!

A lot of my favourite printed fabrics have a botanical theme.  Flowers and/or leaves, I'm not fussy!

So you can guess I had fun choosing these new ones!  

Beautiful weight and drape, as usual from John Kaldor fabrics.

These two prints are on a polyester base, that has a lovely crepe feel to it.

This Cotton print has a lovely satin finish.

I see this polyester print made up in a drapy kimono!

Added spandex, in this cotton makes it ideal for fitted skirts and dresses.

This cotton lawn will be so light to wear.

Kaffe Fassett Fabrics

We've had our first delivery of fabrics from Kaffe Fassett Studios!

There are designs from Kaffe Fassett, the beautiful Fern print in green and Aboriginal Dots in pink & the wow factor, Can Can girls from Brandon Mably.

The designs are printed on a lovely soft cotton, 112 cms wide & £15.50 per m

After meeting them both at a trade show & listening to a talk on how their designs come about, we were inspired!  So we bought Kaffe's latest book, to take a bit of that inspiration home!!
