Indie Patterns
We've a new range of Independent sewing patterns in stock, to go with our new fabrics.
Megan Nielsen, (http://megannielsen.com/)
based in Australia, has a great range of patterns including Tania Culottes. A really well designed skirt shape, with the practicality of culottes! Her website & blog have great tips & tutorials to go along with her patterns.
Actually, that is one of the great advantages of the independent designers, you get a vast amount of additional support & instruction from their websites/blogs. And you can also see how other sewers have used the pattern, handy for inspiration!
The new Morgan boyfriend jeans from Closet Case Files has great reviews online, along with the Maritime Shorts from Grainline Studio, Tank Dress from Sew Caroline, Aida top from Sew Liberated & more from Colette Patterns!
Happy sewing!

Shop Fabric Samples

I always like to show examples of our fabrics & patterns made up. I think it brings a flat fabric or drawing to life. Some are hanging around the shop & some we can be seen wearing! Sometimes it's tricky to keep up as the fabrics fly out of the door!
The moment I saw our gold metallic fabric, my Great Gatsby love came out! So this simple evening shrug was born. It's also a sample for our Evening Shrug Workshop (Tuesday 28th June), perfect for summer evenings.
The knickers are one sample you won't be seeing me wear! I love this woven cotton gingham, such a lovely fabric to sew & press. They take a 1/4 metre & can be trimmed in lots of different ways.
Happy Sewing 😊
