We love it when a customer shows us, what they've created, with our fabrics and patterns!  So here is Marilyn, in the Anna Dress, (pattern from By Hand London - we stock!) and made up in the gorgeous 1920's Splendor from Art Gallery Fabrics (another of my favorites - you can never have too many humming birds!! )

After an email from a customer in USA, with the perfect top pattern (possible to sew at airports!). I scoured EBay for this out of print pattern and it arrived this week from Storm Lake, Iowa. With a bit of pattern tracing and fabric jiggling..,

I just love it when people come in to share, what they've made, with our fabrics.  But when they're actually wearing it...! It makes those long days at Trade shows all worth while :)

That's our denim fabric and check bias binding, put to fantastic use!  (A New Look pattern incase you're wondering!)

Pom Pom Garlands

Can't wait for the Pom Pom workshop - I think they're the new bunting!  Not only do you go home with a lovely garland, you get a Pom Pom gadget too!! So you can continue to fill your world with Pom poms!

New Feet!

I have purchased 2 new feet for the shop machine and given it a new lease of life!

Freemotion embroidery - my handwriting is far neater with a machine than a pen! And

Concealed zipper - a miracle product!

Both for use, when hiring the machine and on workshops!

Covered Button Workshop

Cute little 3" hoops for embroidering those covered buttons!

Baker's Twine

There is something very appealing about red & white baker's twine, maybe it's the many uses or the fact it's 100% cotton. Any way I've bought some for the workshops and the shop - 10p a metre shouldn't break the bank!

Speaking of 100% cotton, we also have a large piece of natural cotton wadding, unwashed & unbleached, which I am going to cut into a metre width. So after a little maths (American, so it came in inches!), it'll be £8.25/m (or however much you want - no minimum here!)

Mixed delivery!

Bit of a mixture - hessian, white cotton poplin, Gutermann textile glue, metal cover buttons & olive wood toggles!!

Long time coming...

I've only had my Janome machine for 16 years and just discovered I can drop the feed dogs and buy a free embroidery foot for it!!!  Oh well, it's got a new lease of life and I've also bought a concealed zipper foot.  So, when they arrive, you can rent the shop machine and give them a try!
